Office Leasing Advisors founder Bill
Wendlandt has real estate in his blood: his great-grandfather
established one of Austin's first real estate offices in 1903
in the lobby of the Driskill Hotel. Bill is a native Austinite
who started his career after earning a degree in advertising from
the University of Texas.
In his fifteen years of experience
in office leasing and tenant representation, Wendlandt has earned
designations as a Certified Commercial Investment Member, Registered
Real Property Administrator, and Facilities Management Administrator;
he currently is enrolled in the Certified Property Management
program. These areas of expertise give him a sound basis for evaluating
real estate decisions, and demonstrate his commitment to continuing
education.
Wendlandt is a past board member
of the Commercial Leasing Brokers Association; past chairman of
the Southwest Regional "Building of the Year" contest
sponsored by the Building Office Managers Association, and a member
of the Society of Real Property Administrators.
His community affiliations include
the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, where he serves on the
Committee for Business Expansion and Retention, and is the Southwest
Area Council's economic development chair, and a graduate of the
Chamber's "Leadership Austin" training program.
Wendlandt, a former University of
Texas Basketball "Most Valuable Player" and captain,
is a volunteer coach for St. Stephens High School and for an Amateur
Athletic Union team. He is owner and director of Texas Future
Stars Basketball camp, and conducts camps for disadvantaged young
people. He is also a frequent speaker at local sports banquets
and events.
